The Notes have been playing together for years, and all are members of Westside High School's nationally recognized Concert Jazz Band.  The Concert Jazz Band is consistently ranked as one of the best jazz bands in the nation, and played at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival in April 2011 as one of the chosen 12 finalists.  The Notes have been playing as a combo for over a year, and have years of experience playing together in big bands.
